I was looking through a roll of film for 1870 WV while waiting on a friend to make copies. I found the following Linch family and I think it may connect to mine. 1870 Wayne County WV census page 13 & 14: Finner Linch....40...male...white...farmer...virginia Dorcas Linch...39...female...white...keeping house...virginia (*see note below) William Linch...13...male...white...farm hand...virginia ?Lummis Linch...11...female...white...virginia Rusl...9...male...white...virginia Sarah A...5...female...white...kentucky Nancy J...1...female...white...west virginia I am a descendant of Robert Austin Lynch b. 1-20-1855 in Kentucky. He married Martha Golden b ca 1857 Virginia. They named one of their daughters Leora *Dorcus Lynch b. 6-21-1881 Johnson County Kentucky. One of their other daughters, Flora b.6-16-1892 in Johnson Co KY, is my grandmother. Martha died while giving birth to my grandmother. Robert then married Mary A Pack. She left him and all the children. He then married Martha Vinson Jarrell in Wayne County WV. Robert died 10-5-1926 in Kenova, Wayne County WV. Roberts parents were William G Lynch and America H Martin. Is Finner a son of William too? Any connections or corrections out there? Barb in GA
