It discusses the 19th century "genealogist," GUSTAVE ANJOU (1863-1942), who apparently made his living bilking wealthy clients by creating fraudulent genealogies. He went so far as to forge documents purporting to prove these genealogies. MANY OF HIS BOOKS CAN STILL BE FOUND IN FAMILY HISTORY CENTERS! Not only that, many other genealogists relied on his work which means that you should always check bibliographies and footnotes for his name. If it is there -- beware!
