Hello Listers, I am new to this list and am in need of the address for the Wayne County Court House. I need to request marriage records. I also need to request birth, death and divorce records. Would I request those from the court house records / archives? If not, where? Does anyone know the cost for the documents and processing fees? I searched the Wayne Co., WV website and didn't find any information on who, how or where to write to request documents or what costs would be. I also wonder if anyone on the list knows how to find records for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad concerning employees and on the job death records dating ca. 1940-55 ( I could be off on this date span by five years or so. I have only word of mouth information on approximate death date and the person giving the information was uncertain). I am also in need of obits or newspaper articles concerning the death of Harrison Taylor GIBSON, Huntington, WV, C & O Railroad employee, ca. 1940-55 if anyone has any tips on how to go about getting them. Also any cemetery listing for him. Any help / information will be much appreciated. Nadine G.
