I am delighted to learn of the information Chris Smith passed on to me regarding the John Wesley Rowan in Mount Union Cemetary. I did not have the dates or the full name of his wife, Arthenia, known fondly as grandma Annie. To our knowledge, at this point, there are no relatives from the Monroe County area. For all who have expressed a willingness to help, I am gathering information on the family of: John Wesley Rowan 1855-1950 m. Arthenia M. ???? 1856-1901 known children: Arthur Morgan Rowan 1879-1973 m. Susan Elizabeth Friel 1897-1984 (my grandparents) Les Rowan I will be going to Buchannon in July to gather more info. I am also researching my husband's family who we believed lived between Buchannon and Weston. We need info on the ancestors of Elizabeth Susan Smith who married Walter Clyde Ball. We have the names Myrtle, Sylvia, Bernice, Ruby, Ellen, Arthur, Robert, Paul, Clyde, and Florence as their children.
