What > District is she living in on the 1910 Upshur County census? The copy of the 1910 census that I have is for the Washington District! Susannah is shown as living in the household of her daughter and son-in-law, Patrick Martin and his wife, Nancy. It is difficult to read the printed portion of the census form, but I guess it is Household 181 or 183, and Family 181 or 183. The Supervisor's District No. is 3, enumeration District No. 153, Sheet No. llB - 737. It shows Susannah's birth and that of her mother and father as West Virginia. I have a Certificate of Marrage between James T. Friel in Pocahontas County, WV, on December 25, 1896, which shows Susannah's age as 33 years. This would make her born ca 1833; the 1910 census shows her age as 77, so a date of 1914, would be just about right. Thanks for all your help. I have been looking for Susannah everywhere, so I hope we can locate her.

Yes, I do think it may be mine. My Susanna was born about 1834. I wrote the Clerk of Upshur County and was advised that they couldn't find her death. I would appreciate any information or documentation you can give me. Susannah was first married to John Sharp on 24 Dec 1850, and John was killed in the War Between the States on 29 Oct 1864. Thereafter on 25 Dec 1866, Susannah married James Twyman Friel. Thanks again for all the help you can give me.

    3. There was no other information included in the book about her. The page # of that book that the information was located on is 45. On page 46 there are there are 5 people with the name Friel--Clarence, James A. , James F., Eddie, and a male child born in 1882 to Sherman and Emma. Are any of these yours? You might interlibrary loan a copy of the Buckhannon newspaper and find a obituary for Susan there, the WV University Library, I think will loan out films. I have the cemetery book on Washington District and haven't found her there yet, although the book isn't indexed--I'm still looking. What District is she living in on the 1910 Upshur County census?
