My name is Frank Underwood and I am a new member of the list. I am trying to track my ancestors back through Tyler County. My grandfather was Harvey Underwood, the brother of Silas Underwood. According to members of the Underwood list, it seems his father was Joseph and his grandfather was Wells Underwood. Based on the dates I have seen in the census records and some of the Civil war service records, I suspect that I have the wrong Wells Underwood or he really wasn't my gg grandfather. When I was young I can remember my parents talking about many relatives in Sistersville and I am hoping to learn more about them and about my anscestors. My father was Frank Basil Underwood and as I said, my grandfather was Harvey Underwood who moved to Pittsburgh sometime in the early 1900s. I will be glad to share any information on Harveys' family and particularly on Franks family.
