Lenore, the only marriage listed is to Rebecca Haines (23 Aug 1824). It mentions that he married an Elizabeth per the 1850 census. Sorry, no date for that one. I am not aware of any Tyler Co. marriages online. There is a book called: MARRIAGE RECORDS OF SQUIRES ISAAC AND JOSEPH F. MAYES. compiled by Helen L. Harriss, Elizabeth J. Wall and Betty Treat Petrich.258 pp., softbound. Pittsburgh, PA. 1978. I was able to get it through interlibrary loan last year. Alas the marriage I wanted wasn't there. Apparently, this location (SW PA) was the Gretna Green for this area and people came from OH and WV to get married because it was easy. It is a possibility. I wish I had a copy just for lookups. The copy I got came from a PA library.
