    3. Connie: This all goes back to Greene County, PA. The Slater and Pipes information is from the book "The Tenmile Country and Its Pioneer Families", pages 387 to 389. John KINNEY, Sr, born 1783 or 1784 in New Jersey, married Elizabeth WHITE, 29th March, 1803 in Greene County, PA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Israel WHITE and Sarah SLATER. Sarah SLATER was the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor SLATER. Sarah was born 1760, married at Fort Jackson in Greene County to Israel White. Sarah's sister, Eleanor SLATER, born 1778, married at Fort Jackson to John PIPES (who owned land across the Tenmile area from Thomas SLATER). Children from this marriage were: Abner PIPES, James PIPES, John PIPES, Jr., Thomas PIPES, Jemima PIPES. My Tyler County connection is as follows: John KINNEY, with his family, including grown sons, Snowden Slater Kinney, Israel Kinney and George Kinney, migrated to Tyler County in the 1820s. This part of Tyler County became Doddridge County in 1845. Is any of this new for you? Hope it helps.
