My g-g-g grandfather David Garrison moved to the Meade Dist. in Tyler Co. in 1860, and lived there until his death in 1878. He was buried in the Wick Methodist Church Cemetery with his wife, Catharine Engle (daughter of Peter Engle, and member of the large clan of Tyler Co. Engles). His son John D. Garrison (husband of Drusilla Cornell) died in Tyler Co. in 1879; son Daniel died in Ritchie Co. in 1892; son David (husband of Hannah Bullman) died in Ritchie Co. date unknown; son Irad (husband of Sarah Ellen Ash) died in Tyler Co. in 1918; son Alpheus died in Monongalia Co., WV in 1917; daughter Narcissa married Daniel Varner; daughter Margaret died young; daughter Elizabeth married Andrew Ankrom, died 1871; daughter Salina Ann died young. I read early issues of the Tyler Co. Star, and was unable to find an obituary for David Garrison.
