Hi List, I was wondering if anyone might know who the sheriff's were back in the 1800's? I recently visited with one of my uncles who told me that his grandfather Lindsay Beaty, (my gg-grandfather), was a sheriff, hangman and scaffold builder. I was wondering if the police department might give this information out? Or if anyone knows where I might look? Thanks, Faith A Van Schaik
