    3. Just as a little addition to this post. There is a list where this kind of data can be sent. SLAVEINFO. A moderated mailing list for the sharing of genealogical data about slaves in the Unites States including wills/deeds that show sales and transfer of ownership, vital records (e.g., birth, marriage, death), and information/queries on specific slaves that may be part of your ancestry. Anyone with genealogical data on slaves is welcome to post this information and thereby share it with all of the list subscribers. You must be a subscriber to post to the list. To subscribe send the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) as the only text in the body of a message to slaveinfo-l-request@rootsweb.com (mail mode) or slaveinfo-d-request@rootsweb.com (digest mode).
