    3. Connie: Here are the siblings of Eleanor (Nellie). Forgot to add that last time around. Per Eleanor, this is what page 397 of "Tenmile" says: "Eleanor White died on September 3,1854. Her husband was George Gordon who died September 24, 1831. Eleanor (White) Gordon married (2) Timothy Terryl. Children of George and Eleanor (White) Gordon (O.C. Docket 1 pp. 376). 1. Mary Gordon, wife John Munyon 2. Rachel Gordon, wife of Felix Bell 3. Sarah Gordon, wife of Thomas Munyon 4. William Gordon 5. John Gordon 6. James Gordon 7. Israel Gordon 8. Basil Gordon 9. Eleanor Gordon 10. George Gordon 11. Mazy Gordon 12. Brice Gordon" Are you interested in historical facts about your ancestors, or just names and dates? For me, I always appreciate anything I can find about where they lived, how they lived, historical facts, etc. If you need more than names and dates, let me know. I also have statistical data on the Whites and Slaters. Will you be locating a copy of "Tenmile"? I think it's usually available in most genealogical libraries. A very distant "cuz", Pat Pulasky

    3. Connie: This all goes back to Greene County, PA. The Slater and Pipes information is from the book "The Tenmile Country and Its Pioneer Families", pages 387 to 389. John KINNEY, Sr, born 1783 or 1784 in New Jersey, married Elizabeth WHITE, 29th March, 1803 in Greene County, PA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Israel WHITE and Sarah SLATER. Sarah SLATER was the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor SLATER. Sarah was born 1760, married at Fort Jackson in Greene County to Israel White. Sarah's sister, Eleanor SLATER, born 1778, married at Fort Jackson to John PIPES (who owned land across the Tenmile area from Thomas SLATER). Children from this marriage were: Abner PIPES, James PIPES, John PIPES, Jr., Thomas PIPES, Jemima PIPES. My Tyler County connection is as follows: John KINNEY, with his family, including grown sons, Snowden Slater Kinney, Israel Kinney and George Kinney, migrated to Tyler County in the 1820s. This part of Tyler County became Doddridge County in 1845. Is any of this new for you? Hope it helps. 3. I have been searching for a long time for the death of THOMAS BAYLIS. The last name could be spelt Bayliss, Baylis, BAyless, Bayles and even Bailis. He is listed in the census of Marshall County in 1860 along with his wife Eliza Jane as Thomas Bailis. Eliza is listed as a widow in the 1880 census of Marshall County. He's not listed in the 1870 census records of Marshall COunty or is he listed as he died in Marshall County. That is way I'm writing of all of you. Does anyone have access to the census records of your county or death records. Eliza died I know in 1919 but still I don't know where. Thomas was born between 1815-1822. In the census records there should be listed as children at least Lunetta and Indiana they are both girls and are between the ages of 12-15. I would appreciate any help anyone could give to me. Thanks for your time. Grace _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com

    3. Hi Kim, Sorry I couldn't reply sooner. If you go to www.familytreemaker.com, they have where you can look up the person on the SS Death Index. They have a pre-written letter that you can print out and mail in to get this information. If the person is not listed, then you can just write a letter and mail it in and they will try and locate the application with the information that you give them. It costs $7.00 if you know the SS# and $16.50 if you don't know the SS#. The address to write to is: Social Security Administration Office of Central Records Operations FOIA Workgroup P.O. Box 17772 300N. Greene Street Baltimore, Maryland 21290 Good Luck. Faith A. Van Schaik
