Anderson son of Robert P. the 3rd and Allie. I guess he was raised in Muddy Creek. I know nothing of this side of my family as i was only 3 when he passed away. His parents are listed as John and Mary Pratt. He was born in Virginia. So the question is, are there two sons named John born to John and Mary Cole Pratt of Culpepper, Va>Monongalia Co, WV? Since Caleb Hamilton lists my Hillary Pratt as his cousin in his Civil War pension application, and his mother was Mary Margaret Pratt Hamilton (married to Jacob Hamilton) and her parents are listed John and Mary Cole Pratt on her marriage record, that means there are two sons named John. Hillary's father was John ca 1801 married to Mary Snider of Tyler Co, who was killed by a bear in 1836. That makes William Scott Pratt their brother too. Try looking in Greene County, PA. Many families moved from there to the Tyler Co. WV/Monroe Co. OH area due to land patents that were granted about that time.
