Hello Everyone, Just wanted to Thank everyone that responed to my letter about the geneaology research. It is real nice to know that I'm not the only one that includes everyone in the family. I also want to warn people, that there are people contacting people for help and info on their surnames and making books and making money off other people's work. I have done hours upon hours of leg work and research in the courthouses and libraries, and have even traveled to research as I am sure alot of you have. Then some people go and take info from books done by others and add alittle here and a little there and sale the book and make money off of it. The sad part is that alot of it has errors and the mistakes are being sold. I research the Tennant, Haught, Pyles, Henderson, Wilson, Willard, Eddy, Nixon and Miller families and like to share my line and info with others and I also like others to share with me, but if people continue to abuse other people's kindness it could ruin things for others. I am one that just does geneaology for a hobby and find it interesting to learn about my ancestors. If I was doing a book, I would take the time and add as many people I could find and have it as up to date as possible. Then my book would be worth it's weight in GOLD. Thank You again, Brenda

Hello Everyone, Just thought I would ask everyone a question. Am I the only one that includes all the descendants of a surname ? Like Tennant, Pyles, Wilson and so on. I have been doing research on my family now for about 3 years, I resently was contacted for help on one of my surnames, the person stated they are making books on the family, but they only include the people with that last name, like Tennant. So, does that go to mean that the descendants of the women do not count as descendants of that surname ? Just think of all the family being left out, it is in my opinion that the word "Family" means everyone ! In my research I include everyone I find. For those of you making books on surnames just think what the book would be worth if it includes the whole family. For at least so many generations. I'm sorry if this causes bad feelings for me writing this, but I was just curious to know if I'm the only one that thinks this ? Brenda
