    1. Where would the locals have recorded their lives?
    2. commander
    3. Arley, Richard, and all the other list members. I live in Prince- ton and originally replied to the question of where documents for people's lives would have been recorded. I now know when Summers was established, but where would people have recorded deaths, the births and marriages inside the Summers County limits. Would this have depended on which county they were closest to, or would they have went wherever their roads would have taken them. I realize the New River and Bluestone would have been fordable a lot differently than we know today. IF someone lived along those rivers, would they have their family lives recorded to wherever they could have gotten to? I'm only wondering for future queries I might respond to. THIS IS REALLY AN IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR ME THANKS very much for anyone's attntion to these life details. Glenn in Princeton Summers county was established 1873, was not chartered till 1897, Hinton WV, was and still is the county seat. Richard Graham
