    3. One of the pictures in the Graham house is that of a granddaughter, Nancy Stodghill, b1808, who married Henry Pence. Nancy was a daughter of Joel and Elizabeth Graham Stodghill. Elizabeth, daughter of James and Florence Graham, was captured by Indians when she was a young girl and returned to family years later. I don't recall the identity of the other pictures, but as Richard noted, they are much later than Col. Graham's generation. I don't have copies of these pictures, but do have a nice color photo of the house if interested. Also, the DAR has identified Col. Graham as as Patriot, both for military and civil service. His military rank was Captain, but his unit is not listed on-line. It is possible to order those records from the DAR though. The DAR web site is dar.org. Civil service could be for supplies to the Army and you might check "Virginia Publick Claims" for that. There are three volumes and #3 has an index for all. Most genealogy libraries have these books. I am not a Graham descendant, but several of my lines married into that family. Bonnie
