    1. Re: [WVSUMMER] Travel from Virginia to Illinois
    2. This is certainly an interesting subject. I was reading a WV census and saw a relative saying their first child was b in Iowa. I just assumed someone had made a BIG mistake. Some years later we found a sheet written by the family (but never finished) that talked of getting m on Saturday morning early so someone could drive them in the buckboard to the depot at Millboro to catch the train. They went all around out west and had a store for a while but decided after about a year that they really missed their family & WV and came back (with the baby b in Iowa), I had another WV/FL story from a few years back. I was looking for our WV Cackleys in 1880. Could not find them. The only James listed was in FL so I just skipped right over him. A few months later later I mentioned it to a genealogy "cousin" in OH and she proceeded to tell me that she had seen a letter written by one of the relatives IN FL. Well, I almost fell off the chair. It was them after all. After making it down there, the father, mother and married son all died with the Yellow Fever. Just last week I received an e-mail from someone working at the Heritage Village in FL telling me that the house of the son that died is on display there and they also transported the "outhouse", You just never know where your info is going to come from.
