    1. RE: [WVSUMMER] Summers Co. Court House

    3. Kathie and everyone. On of my major problem is will my great aunt Winnie Florida Lilly. She was born in 1886 in Raleigh County, West Virginia to Isaac James Lilly and Susan Baker Stovall. I have no problem with this. She married Emanuel W. Frey, not sure when or where. It could had been in Summers County, but that would have been before Mom and her parents and sister came back to West Virginia in 1927 from New Mexico. Anyone everyone called him Manuel for short. According to everyone his name was Emanual. He is in the 1930 Census as M.W. Frey, with just her and him listed. She remembers that he died in the 30's. I find somewhere Sept 1930. He worked for the C&O Railroad. He overdrank and was drunk a lot. Actually he didn't want buried in West Virginia. He wanted taken back to Ohio so that he would be buried in the Family Plot in the Frey Cemetery. Well they found him died. Mom said that he was do pickled from being drunk so much that they would enbomb him and he could be taken across the state line. So Grandda was suppose to have paid off some people and they took him to Ohio to be buried. Well the courthouse said they don't have any records, but I was sure when in the 30's he died. This was one of the things that I wanted Kathie to check on. The Furnial home can't tell me anything anymore because of the new law. They send me back to the courthouse. But we are not sure if a Death Certifice was done. I thought that his father of John D. Frey, but since I renew my Ancestry.Com with everything. I was looking him up today and all I find is the 1930 census record, but I found the record of the Father John D. Frey and the mother lised in Ohio and he is not on the record of Kid of kids. I guess this may be one of the times I have been burned by the Moman Library records I could use some help on this Thanks When I was in West Virginia quit a few years ago, I try to check on the records at the Train Musuem was not open and the story said they were out of time the the next week when I was gone. I not sure if they had those records. I had also wanted to see if they had a old schedule of the route from Hinton in 1903/05 to see what the schedule would be like from Hinton to Alomoagordo, Territory of New Mexico to see how my grandparent (Louden Gilbert Lilly and Ella Leah Gore) travel there after they got married. My mother and her sisters were borned out there. The moved out there and homesteaded and grandda worked for the government by being the lumberjack boss (lumbermill that they had)upon the mountain at Cloudcroft, New Mexico for a long time (It was six months out of the year. They could do it in the winter. To Cold. Try it one year and they nearly straved to death) Thanks Sandy Moten Cocoa, Forida
