    3. John, What is your connection to Norban (also noted as Norman) and Elizabeth Duncan? Norban was a brother to J(ohn) Walter Duncan who married my great aunt Virginia Bowles. Below is the obit for the father of Norban and Walter, John Hunter Duncan. Carol ------------------------- Huntington Herald-Dispatch 4/2/1918 John Hunter Duncan, aged 72 years died yesterday afternoon at 2:40 o'clock at the home of his son Thomas E. Duncan, 949 Monroe Ave. West Huntington. Death was due to heart disease, and was not unexpected, Mr. Duncan having been ill for a long time. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Thomas A. Duncan, of this city, and J. Walter Duncan and Norman Duncan of Summers Co.; two brothers, M. L. and W. H. Duncan of Huntington, and one sister, Mrs. J. H. Foard of Green Sulphur Springs. The funeral will be held from the residence this evening at 7:30 o'clock, Rev. J. A. Smith, pastor of the Washington Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Duncan was a member of that church. The funeral party will leave Wednesday morning on No. 4, C & O for Sandstone, from where the remains will be taken to Grassy Meadows, Greenbrier County for burial Wednesday morning.
