    3. Mr Davis and others. I do not live in Hinton but have used the library files before. They have a surmname microfilm file where articles and obituaries are recorded for local families. If someone in the area could check that it may be a shortcut to any newspaper article if it made the Hinton papers. [Mr Davis in case you do not know that is the county seat] I spoke with a MADDY in Hinton a few minutes ago and he checked a book from the '40s "Us Maddys" but no luck. He found one Allen (no dates), a child of George Washinton Maddy but Georges 10th child was born in 1881 so I doubt he had another in 1923. {Other poss: Maybe that Allen had a junior} Vernon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Melinda Jacquier" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 19, 2007 4:40 PM Subject: Re: [WVSUMMER] Lost Soldier from Summers County, W.VA > Mr. Davis, > While I do not know who this soldier's family is, I have a couple of > suggestions of places you might check for more info that could lead you to > living relatives of Mr. Maddy. > Somewhere on his actual military records should be a social security > number.
