    3. Although I can not remember the names [Meadows and Privot maybe?] there are two funeral homes in Hinton now and I think at least one dates back to the time in question. However, Pauline Haga did some genealogy work in this catagory [Lowe Funeral Home Records 1917-1929] and if I remeber correct, the Hinton Library has copies of some of the old Funeral records in their "Genealogy" file cabinet. Monroe Co does have an Andrew Jackson Reed 1902/1911 His son? at Ballard Church Cemetery ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 1:51 AM Subject: [WVSUMMER] Early funeral homes of early Summers Co (c 1900) > Given that I have a g-g-uncle that apparently died in the Hinton area > around > 1900 (Andrew Jackson Reed ~1868 - 1900), and the fact that no cemeteries > in > Summers Co. 3. There are two funeral homes in Hinton that I can think of at this time. Pivot is across the street from the courthouse. The other is Ronald Meadows Funeral Home. It is on Temple Street. I do believe the Meadows Funeral Home was there in the early 1900's. It was a funeral parlor and furniture store.
