She was born May 26, 1939 in Boone County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Julia Osborne. She was a loving wife, mother, and a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church at Lawford. Survivors include her husband, Charles Ray Bailey; one son, Arthur H. Gibson of Big Bend; two daughters; Patricia A. Osborne and husband, Jonathan M. Osborne of Auburn; and Cathy L. Gibson of Auburn; three step-daughters; Barbara J. Gain and husband, Larry of Clarksburg; and Juanita K. Villers and husband Larry of Pennsboro; and Nancy Y. Keener and her friend, Roy Greathouse of Pullman; one sister Rosaphene Powers of Newberne; three brothers; Prather Osborne and wife, Gail of Cyclone; Harold G. Osborne and wife, Virginia Lou of West Union; Benny L. Osborne and wife, Martha of Davin; five grandchildren; Michelle L. Hornsby, Steven R. Gibson, Craig A. Gibson, Siona N. Osborne, and Taylor L. Osborne. Six step-grandchildren, Sherry Murvine, Charles Winans, Jonathan R. Osborne, Jessica L, Kristin L. and Gina M. Waggoner. Five great-grandchildren, twelve step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend of the family, Bill Winans. A celebration of her life was on March 22, 2006 at the Church of God, Cox's Mills, with Elders Chester N. Osborne, and Billy R. Gibson officiating. Burial followed in the Auburn Baptist Church Cemetery, Cox's Mills.
