On June 29, 1884 Dolly Congleton married William H. Snodgrass (1858-1935), the son of Mary Evilsizer and George Snodgrass. Dolly Snodgrass died March 3, 1885 in Washington County after giving birth to Henry Snodgrass (February 25, 1885 - March 1, 1885). It has been reported that William H. Snodgrass refused to care for his stepchildren so they ended up in an orphanage. If this is true, the Washington County Children's Home would probably have a record. According to correspondence with Mrs. William Herbert Snodgrass of Parkersburg, WV, William H. Snodgrass married Harriett Barker on September 11, 1885 and later Mattie Vie Jacobs (1887-1970). Mattie is listed as his wife on William Snodgrass' death record on May 10, 1935 in Washington County, OH.
