Hello List, I am new to the list and feel like I am butting my head against a solid brick wall when it comes to my JONES line. Here is what I do know. James T Jones born abt 1821 in Ohio parents are UNKNOWN James married Pheba SNIDER in 1843 in Va.Pheba was born 1823 in Randolph Co,Va and died Oct 8,1869 in Gilmer Co,Wv her parents are believed to be David and Ann SNIDER.I am not sure of when James died as I loose him in the census reports after 1870 as a matter of fact him and all of his children disappear after the 1870 census even the children who where grown and living in their own homes. leaves me to believe they all relocated but to where I have not located yet.James and Pheba had 11 children they are as follows. 1.John H Jones born abt 1844 in Va married Eliza A HEATER (her name may have been Elizabeth) April 13 1867 in Gilmer Co WV .They had at least 2 children Lauretta J JONES and Wakeman T JONES 2.Samuel W JONES b abt 1847 (i believe he married) S.E. Morrison on Oct 1,1874 in Gilmer Co,Wv.Had a twin brother 3.David H JONES b abt 1847 4.Margaret A JONES born abt 1849 married William H LUZADER on Aug 1 1869 in Gilmer Co,Wv (had at least 1 child Morella J b 1870) 5.Eliza J JONES b abt 1850 6.Jasper K JONES b abt 1853 7.Martha M JONES b abt 1855 8.JAMES M JONES b Abt 1857 9.Sarah Elizabeth JONES born June 3 1862 In Ritchie Co,Wv died Jan 23 1934 In Harrison Co,Wv .Sarah married 1) Samuel HARKCOM in PA and had 4 children and married 2.) Edward NAY they where married March 15 1893 in Braxton Co,Wv .Edward was born May 15,1872 he was the s/o Fielding and Lydia TUCKER NAY they had 3 children (ROSA,Martha,Ocie) I have found Sarah in the 1880 PA Census. 10.Murcerline(several spellings) JONES b 1866 11.Pheba JONES b Oct 8,1969 Gilmer Co,Wv died Oct 16,1869 in Gilmer Co,WV I believe Pheba the mom died while giving birth to the last child. I also believe all the older children where born in RITCHIE Co,VA/Wv younger children where probably born in Gilmer Co,Wv. Hope to see some new cousins.Thanks to anyone who can help. Staci
