I was also told that they are probably descendants of the Middletons of Accomack Co. Va for the name George was handed down form generation to generation ... and that they might be the descendants of George and Sarah Shorts Middleton from Surry Co. Va There is a George Sr, George Jr. and Thomas Middleton in the 1704 Rent Rolls of Accomack Co. George is believed to be a son of the earliest known Middleton in America -- John Middleton and Elinor Ellis Middleton who both have an impressive lineage in Wales. Accomack Co.
