I am still looking for information about Robert McKinney who married Margaret Dye (1823-1896) on May 4, 1843 in Washington Co., OH. He was a resident of Wood County, WV at the time of the marriage. Margaret is living in Marietta in the 1850 census but Robert McKinney is not listed. It is believed that he died between 1849 and 1852. Does anyone know the parents of Robert McKinney? When and where did he die? Children of Margaret Dye and Robert McKinney: Robert McKinney (b. ca 1844) married Florence Martin in 1873 in Washington Co., OH and I've been told they ran a general store in Petroleum, WV (Ritchie Co.). Sophia (b. ca 1849) McKinney married John Henry Britton in 1874 and eventually lived in Denver, CO. Margaret Dye McKinney married John Smallwood by 1853. They are living in Taylor Co., WV in 1860 and John Smallwood is a railroad boss. By 1870 Margaret Dye McKinney Smallwood is living back in Washington Co., OH and has nine children. Millie
