Jenkins 1873. In 1882 Jeremiah was convicted of murder in the second degree in Ritchie county, WV. In 1891 his wife Nancy divorced him. I also have found that a James Deem and Benjamin F. Deem were involved in the crime with him. I donot know if they were his brothers or uncles etc. Jeremiah's father was James G. Deem and mother was Mary Catherine Roberts. I am really interested in any one having knowledge of the trial and the circumstances of the incident that he was convicted of. Also, I would like information on Nancy. I believe her father was Christoper Nutter and her mother Martha Jenkins. I can not find a marriage record for them but have found where they were living together in a census. any help is wonderful Thanks!
