She was born in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Presley Franklin and Hattie BOSTON METZ. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are four sons, Roy VanFOSSEN of Bradenton, FL, Richard VanFOSSEN and John VanFOSSEN, both of Petroleum, WV, and Randy VanFOSSEN of Parkersburg; a daughter, Louetta WILSON of Parkersburg; a niece whom she reared, Dora Jean RAKE of Indianapolis; IN; a brother, Woodrow L. METZ of Parkersburg; 26 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her husband, Hoyt Bert VanFOSSEN, in 1984, a son, James VanFOSSEN, seven brothers and a sister. Services will be held Thursday, August 11th, 2:00 p.m., at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Herman Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Garden.
