She was born in Smithville, a daughter of the late Bailey and Avis ELDER AYERS. She was a 1941 graduate of Harrisville High School and was employed at the Crown Cork & Seal of Baltimore, MD, during World War II. She worked at Economy Industries, Harrisville, WV, for more than 30 years and was a member of Smithville Senior Citizens and Smithville Baptist Church for more than 65 years. Surviving are a son, Jonathan KELLY of Harrisville; a daughter, Anne RICHARDS of Harrisville; two brothers, Hoover AYERS of Sandyville, WV, and Allen D. AYERS of Smithville; four sisters, Lois AYERS and Laurabelle AYERS, both of Smithville, Edith DEWEESE of Huntington, WV, and Mary Jane ROBISON of Tanner, WV; two grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild. Preceding her in death were three brothers. Services were held at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. William C. Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Ayers Cemetery, Smithville.
