JONAS, Sr., 75, of 16th St. Parkersburg, WV, died Sunday, 14 April 1996, in St. Joseph's Hospital there. He was born in Ritchie County, WV, a son of the late Thomas F. and Myrtle WYATT JONAS. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Elkem Metals with more than 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and played in the Senior League at Worthington Golf Course. He was a member and usher at Calvary Memorial Church. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Gladys Jean "Jeanie" JONAS; two sons, Carroll W. "Butch" JONAS, Jr., of Little Hocking, OH, and Michael A. JONAS, of Guysville, OH; a daughter, Robin JONAS FIELDS, of Parkersburg; three step-daughters, Sandra J. EZE, of Van Nuys, CA, Cathy L. MORRIS of Indiana and Rhonda L. VANNOY of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Pauline V. LEISURE JONAS; and a brother, Paul T. JONAS. Services were held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Lee Hammond officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
