Pleasant, MI, died Tuesday, 27 September 1994, at her residence. She was born in Cairo, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence Arthur and Lillie BOWIE MARTIN. She was a homemaker and worked at Ferro Manufacturing during World War II. Surviving are two sons, Lee. D. SANDY of Tustin, MI, and Joe K. SANDY of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Rene GRUDIER of Port Arthur, TX; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was a sister-in-law to Lucille ELLIOTT of Cairo, WV, Maye AYERS and Donald J. SANDY, both of Parkersburg, WV. Preceding her in death were her husband, Kenneth D. SANDY, in 1981; two brothers, Basil MARTIN and Gayle MARTIN; and two sisters, Frona MARTIN and Beuna BURGY. Services were held at Helms Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, with burial following in riverside Cemetery there. (submitter not related)
