He was born in Ritchie County, WV, a son of Edna CUNNINGHAM NICHOLS of St. Marys and the late Ed NICHOLS. He was a retired iron worker with Local #549. Surviving in addition to his mother, are five sons, Fred NICHOLS, Bruce NICHOLS and Roger NICHOLS, all of St. Marys, Dale NICHOLS of Columbus, OH, and Gary NICHOLS of Newport, OH; a daughter, Barbara CORNELL of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Homer NICHOLS and Clarence NICHOLS, both of St. Marys; a sister, Mildred PRITCHETT of St. Marys; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a niece and six nephews. Services will be held Thursday, 22 December, 1 p.m., at Ruttencutter Funeral Home, St. Marys, with the Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Internment will follow in Nine Mile Cemetery, Pleasant County, WV. Visitation is from 7:00-9:00 Wednesday and until the time of service on Thursday. (submitter not related)
