She was born in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late James B. and Martha J. PETERS MORRIS. She was a 1929 graduate of St. Marys High School, worked for the former Court Restaurant and Morris Restaurant, St. Marys, then worked for Colin Anderson Center's Foster Grandparent Program and was most recently employed by St. Marys High School's Foster Grandparent Program. She was a member of the Raven Rock Homemakers Club and Raven Rock United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie ARMSTRONG of Kokomo, IN; a son, James STEWART of Kokomo; twin sister, Bessie HAMILTON of Marietta, OH; four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, two great grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were six brothers. Services were held at Ruttencutter Funeral Home, St. Marys, with the Rev. William Batten officiating. Burial followed in St. Marys I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
