"Sookie" ORR, 90, of the Washington County (OH) Home, died Friday, 30 September 1994, at the home. She was born in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Preston A. and Bertha DOUTHITT SCHOFIELD. She went to the Lower Pawpaw Community in Washington County, as a child. She and her husband lived on Chamberlain Farm in Devola, OH, for more than 25 years before moving to Marietta, OH, in 1952. She was employed at Hotel Lafayette until her retirement and had resided at the Washington County Home since 1990. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie LANDSITTEL of Marietta; a sister, Kathryn HALL of Marietta Convalescent Center; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; sevearl great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter S. "Bunk" ORR, a son, William P. ORR, and two brothers. Services wer held at McClure-Shafer Funeral Home, Marietta, with the Rev. F. Dale Parsons officiating. Burial followed in Salem Township Cemetery. (submitter not related)
