JENKINS, 73, of Circleview, OH, died Saturday, 10 January 1998, in the VA Hospitial, Chillicothe, OH. He was born 28 March 1924, in Ritchie County, WV, a son of Thomas BERTLEY, Sr., and Mable Anna METZ JENKINS. He was a machinist and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Betty MILEY JENKINS; three daughters, Patricia RICHARDS of Saginaw, TX, Marilyn WHITE of Rockwall, TX, and Rebecca GAMEL of Farmers Branch, TX; eight step-children, Carolyn JACKSON of Washington Court House, OH, Rebecca VANCE, Gary DAUGHTERY, Rich ARY and Robin FRYER, all of Greenfield, OH, Nora CATT of Greenfield, IN, Sue GOBLE of Circleville, and Rhonda HOWLAND of East Monroe, OH; three sisters, Edith BURTON, Inez RICHARDS and Nancy KERNS, all of Cairo, WV; a brother, Berel JENKINS of Cairo; seven grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Mary Elizabeth NASH; four sisters and four brothers. Services were held at Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Burchett officiating. Burial followed in Greenfield Cemetery, where military rites were accorded by Highland County Honor Guard. (submitter not related)
