She was born in Highland, WV, a daughter of the late William Thomas and Olive Belle CORBIN BOGGESS. She was employed as a private duty nurse. Surviving are two sons, Leon H. MATHENY of Little Hocking, OH, and Richard L. KALT of Vienna, WV; three daughters, Sister Clare Roberta KALT of Wheeling, WV, Joanne COX of Columbus, OH, and Linda D. ORR of Sunnyvale, CA; two brothers, James W. BOGGESS of Vienna, and Alonzo A. BOGGESS of Wellsville, OH; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, James A. MARTIN, a son, Harold Jennings KALT; a daughter, Diana J. COOK; and two sisters, Pearl KEENAN and Audrey FLINN. The body was donated to Ohio State University School of Medicine. Services were held at Our Lady of Charity Convent, Wheeling. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling, was in charge of arrangements.
