SIMMONS, 89, of Auburn, Ritchie County, WV, died Friday, 16 December 1994, at Pine View Continuous Care Center, Harrisville, WV, after an extended illness. He was born in Auburn, a son of the late George and Dora BARTLETT SIMMONS. He was a farmer, a member of the Auburn Baptist Church and Ritchie County Farm Bureau. Surviving are two sons, Lendell SIMMONS of Clarksburg, WV, and Goerge SIMMONS of Auburn; three daughters, Sylvia KELLY of Dunbar, WV, Sharon SMITH of Cairo, WV, and Vonda THOMPSON of Spring Valley, OH; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Clella GRIBBLE SIMMONS, a brother and a sister. Services were held at Auburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Joe Lamb officiating. Burial followed in Spruce Creek Cemetery, Auburn. Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, was in charge of arrangements. (submitter not related)
