"Roy", ZINN, Jr., 73 of 990 Hazelgreen Road, Smithville (Lawford Community), WV, died Sunday, 23 June 1991, in Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. He was born in Cairo, WV, a son of the late Royden S. Sr. and Lona A. LAW ZINN. He was a 1936 graduate of Cairo, High School, retired from the West Virginia Department of Transportation and a lifelong farmer in Ritchie County. He was a member of the Lawford United Methodist Church and the Ritchie County Farm Bureau for more than 40 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps as a Technical sergeant and crew chief in Panama, was past president of the Ritchie County Co-Operative Livestock Association, and was a former commissioner on the Ritchie County Court. Surviving are his wife, of 48 years, Pauline PAYNE ZINN; two sons, Dr. Roy S. ZINN of Tiffin, OH, and W. Harris ZINN of Clarksburg, WV; a daughter Paula ZINN BYRD, of Smithville; a brother Dr. Raymond D. ZINN of Terra Alta, WV; a sister Miss Evelyn ZINN of Spencer, WV,; and eight grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a sister. Services were held at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV, with the Rev. Don Newlon officiating. Burial was in the Lawford Cemetery. (submitter not related)
