She was born in Burnt House, Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Henry and Lyda GRAGG LEWIS. She was an artist who sold paintings in San Diego. Surviving are her husband, Forest STARR; a daughter, Sharlan STARR of Reston, VA; a son, Larry STARR, of La Jolla, CA; four sisters, Indus LEWIS and Betty GILLILAND, both of Westerville, OH, Doris STOUT of Pataskala, OH, and Arlis HERSMAN of Auburn, WV; two brothers, Lowell Adrian LEWIS of Columbus, OH, and Hale LEWIS of Burnt House, WV; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at New Mount Olive Church, Burnt House, with the Rev. Lowell Adrian Lewis officiating. Burial followed in New Mount Olive Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the New Mount Olive Church. (submitter not related)
