Surnames: Nutt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QEC.2ACE/2191.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Krista, David Scott ask me to see what I could find on your Granville Nutt. The Historicial Society is in the process of typing info from funeral homes. In the Raiguel Funeral Home I found the following: Granville Nutt, father David, mother Stuter, born Aug. 22 1851 in Wirt Co., died May 18, 1938 at Ritchie Co. Infirmary. No spouse, children or siblings listed. Service was at Cisco Church, he was buried at Beckner Cemetery. I am typing info supplied Raiguel and there was not addititonal info. He is listed on the program, but his file is no longer in Raiguel's file, so it is possible that he was moved, and they no longer have a file. Let me know if I can help. Jean

    1. DYE, McKINNEY and SMALLWOOD
    2. Mildred Fry
    3. I am still looking for information about Robert McKinney who married Margaret Dye (1823-1896) on May 4, 1843 in Washington Co., OH. He was a resident of Wood County, WV at the time of the marriage. Margaret is living in Marietta in the 1850 census but Robert McKinney is not listed. It is believed that he died between 1849 and 1852. Does anyone know the parents of Robert McKinney? When and where did he die? Children of Margaret Dye and Robert McKinney: Robert McKinney (b. ca 1844) married Florence Martin in 1873 in Washington Co., OH and I've been told they ran a general store in Petroleum, WV (Ritchie Co.). Sophia (b. ca 1849) McKinney married John Henry Britton in 1874 and eventually lived in Denver, CO. Margaret Dye McKinney married John Smallwood by 1853. They are living in Taylor Co., WV in 1860 and John Smallwood is a railroad boss. By 1870 Margaret Dye McKinney Smallwood is living back in Washington Co., OH and has nine children. Millie

    1. Webb's Mills, Richie County
    2. HARLEY DAKIN
    3. I am looking for a sketch or photograph of Webb's Mills. My gr gr gr grandfather , William Dakin was posted at Webb's Mills during the Civil War under the command of Lt. Peter Dills. They were members of Co. G, 6th WV. Infantry. They were stationed there at the time Jones and Imbold made their raids into Richie, Wirt and the other counties in the area. I understand their is a tombstone that has a sketch of the Mills on it. I was in Richie County near Smithville last week but could not locate the cemetery. If anyone knows anything about this, please contact me. Thank You. Harley Dakin

Do you know any more about Daniel Wilson? I am trying to find out his birth place and parents. My sister in law lived in Salem for a while and her parents both came from the area. While there, she got the cemetery book and we found the name and visited it a few years ago. My father's cousin (Donald Wilson) also found it (earlier) and sent me pictures but it was so nice to see it for myself. I was unable to really do much in the research area for many years and just now got back into looking up information. I lost track of Donald and since it was about 15-20 years ago, maybe he is deceased. He may have found out some information but since I don't know - I will keep looking.
