My GGF was Columbus Harris (born July 1860). He married Mary Ann Murdock Feb 16, 1882 in Ritchie Co. They are listed in the 1900 census for Ritchie Co. Columbus is listed in the with his parents in the 1880 Ritchie Co. Census. Fa is AJ (I believe this is Andrew). His mother is Hilah F.(Hila?) Riddle. The farthest I get is with this 1880 census info. Same with Mary Ann Murdock. As far as I get there is her father James. But she was born in Ohio. With so many Harris in Ritchie County I figure AJ must be related to one of them but can't find which one. ANyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

    3. Nutt family burials at Cisco, Ritchie County. There were two young men whose last name was Nutt who were buried at the edge of the George S. Lemon Cemetery, (which is beside the Beckner Cemetery) on a hill at Cisco(Cisko). Our Lemon Reunion has has fenced in the old Lemon Cemetery which was in a very bad state. When we did this we included the area where the two men were buried. The stones have long since disappeared. Since I keep the Lemon family history, I would like the names of these two men, their birth/ death dates and parents for our records of the cemetery. Thanks so much, M. Vadakin <[email protected]

    3. Harley, I will send you directions to Webbs Mill via a separate email to you. Also, be advised, I've been told that the sketch on the tombstone is not an authentic replica of the actual Webbs Mill. It's just a reasonable facsimile. My gr gr gr grandfather , William Dakin was posted at Webb's Mills during the Civil War under the command of Lt. Peter Dills. They were members of Co. G, 6th WV. Infantry. They were stationed there at the time Jones and Imbold made their raids into Richie, Wirt and the other counties in the area. I understand their is a tombstone that has a sketch of the Mills on it. I was in Richie County near Smithville last week but could not locate the cemetery.
