Here is what I have on Francis: Valentine, Frances Marion [c1858—] (Recorded at Ritchie County courthouse with Luverna Lemon’s birth record is a notation that Sarah Jane has had ten children with one not alive at that time. Frances may have died young; 1910 Ritchie county census notes Sarah Jane Lemon (w) has had 10 children with 9 living at date of census). I think you may be correct... I will start searching that area and see what I can come up with... and Thanks for Sharing... I am in touch with the descendants of the families of his siblings and they also would be interested..

Marriages 1843-1915 there is a Marcelus Valentine, age 28 born in Ritchie Co., living in Wood co., & Elizabeth Eddy 23 born in Ritchie Co., 27 Mar 1888. He is not listed in the Ritchie Co. Cemetry Book. Not sure if this is who you are hunting for.

On July 5, 1938 in Wood Co., WV, Hollis C. Smith married Lila Merle Cassady. She was born on Sept. 9, 1913 in Ritchie Co., WV and her parents were Emma and Morton Cassady. Morton and Emma Casidey are in the 1920 Ritchie County (Glendale, Grant) census and Morton was 40 years old. His birth place is listed as WV and both of his parents were born in OH. Does anyone have any information concerning the parents of Morton Cassady born ca 1880 in WV? Millie

They married in 1833 in Rockbridge and moved to Ritchie County (W)Va abt 1836. Alexander Glover, my gg-grandfather is a brick wall (for me and many others). Death Certificate out of Wirt County for Catherine LANHAM, indicates she died 19 December 1923, and was born in Pennsylvania, 2 February 1856 daughter of Joseph Philips and Margaret Grigs (sic, is really GREGG), with death info provided by Jessie LANHAM of Brohard. My notes indicate that Minnie JONES m Roy LIVINGSTON and Linzy JONES married Mildred Mae HALSTEAD. The other living child by my notes was, Luther JONES who was thought to have married, Emma _____?
