I am trying to find a new way to locate my John Paul Wilmot b. 1853 VA. I do not have any clues on parents/siblings. I realize oft-times it was the practice to use female surnames as middle names so I am lashing out in the dark with this query. My John Paul had several children but all with common given names except for the youngest....Virgil Winhour/Winehour Wilmot. Has anyone ever come across this uncommon surname?
