Although I'm a new subscriber to this list, I've been researching the Caplener/Caplinger line for many years. I've established the Caplener line back to John Caplinger's birth, circa 1803, in Tennessee. He married Martha Bell (also from Tenn.) and they settled in the Phillips Co. area of Arkansas. John died in 1850 in Arkansas. His middle initial is probably "B". However, one researcher thinks his middle name is Trumbow. Maybe he was nicknamed "Bow". I'm aware of many Caplingers in the VA and WVA areas in the 1700s and 1800s. However, I can't make the connection to any of them yet. Can anyone help me? Hal Caplener Morgan Hill, CA
