Hello, Barbara; Sorry, all of my WILMOTH data comes from the area of Randolph Co., WV. Sandra in Sacramento ******************** Dear Sandra: I read with interest your message mentioning Wingfield. My ancestor, Lyman F. Rounds got into a brawl with a Jacob Wingfield in Clark County, AR in October of 1837. Lyman skipped the state never to be heard from again. Jacob stayed and "faced the music" and was prosecuted for assault and battery. Is there anything in your data concerning this event? I am trying to find any shred of connection or information on the child of Lyman Rounds, Ellen Rounds, who was subsequently given a guardian and taken away from her mother, Mary Rounds, and placed with the Hannen family in Clark Co., AR. I think this happened because the father skipped out and the courts didn't think Mary could take care of the child. Anyway, that is the mystery I am working on right now. Also, I am looking for a connection to researchers who are looking into or have information on the Joseph Brice Wilmeth b March 18, 1851 in TX and d January 5, 1897. His father was Frank Crawford Wilmeth b. 1805 and d. June 10, 1889 in Bell County, TX. Frank's claim to fame is that he had 30 children (3 wives with 10 children each). Thanks for any ideas/help. Barbara Alexander (San Rafael, CA)
