Hi, Jeff, I was wondering if you could clear up couple of things I've ran across. In an old email you said: Andrew C Smith is the s/o Charles Smith and Hannah Susan Carr. Hannah is the reason I have interest in this SMITH family. She is the down line from the original ancestor, Georg Heinrich (Henry "Roebuck" KARR) CARR, b 1721 in Germany. I have 3 more generations on them in Germany. It takes us back to 1620 or so. Hannah Susan Carr is d/o John and Abigail CARR John is s/o of the above Henry. Henry is s/o Hans Jacob KARR and his second wife Dorothea HAFFNER. Hans Jacob is s/o Hans Jakob KARR and Maria REINER Hans Jakob is s/o Hans KARR (Magistrate) and Maria _______.>> Is John Carr and Abigail Bright, daugh of Thomas Bright and Margarit Cox, the same one you're referring to as the daughter of Hannah? Also in the "Bright Cousin" book, the author states states that John Carr's first wife was Jemima Wolford, daught of John Wolford and Elizabeth Woolever. When I look at the dates, however, there seems to be a whole generation off. Jemima married John Carr, but she was born in 1809 or 1801, depending on sources. There are enough John Carr's in these counties to be confusing..... Regards, Diane
