    3. Are you sure that this is your great-grandmother's grave? Could there be more than one Margaret Talbott? The reason I ask is that I found a reference to a Margaret Talbott Wamsley in "Barbour County West Virginia Book of Deaths I 1853-1919 and Will Books 1 and 1-1/2, 1839-1889" by Mary Semple Coffman. The reference is to a description of the Will of Elisha TALBOTT. The Will was dated February 24, 1876 and probated May 29, 1880. The summary of his Will is as follows: "ELISHA TALBOTT, Barbour County, WV. Wife - Sarah; Sons - Wm. C., Robert R., Elam, Edwin S., Isaac D., Irvin F; Daughters - Josephine, Elizabeth wife of Addison Reed, Margaret wife of George Wamsley, Angeline wife of Wm. B. Woodford. Executors - Isaac D. and Robert R. Talbott, sons. Witnesses - J. W. Bosworth, E.D. Talbott, Lewis Wilson. Wife $1,000 and household goods, $400 to Josephine, rest equal to children." This Margaret Talbott was married to Mr. Wamsley at the time Elisha Talbott's will was written (1876), so she might not be your great-grandmother. But she could be the person who is buried in the cemetery. In Tucker County, on Dec. 26, 1893, a Jasper WAMSLEY, age 23, son of George and Margaret Wamsley, married Anna Hovatter, age 19 (no parents listed). This probably only makes things more complicated for you!!!
