Can anyone tell me more about John Davis, "a notorious Tory during the Revolution." He was supposed to be the father of Elizabeth Davis married to Martin Luther Carr. The only time I know that I have the right one is that he is listed in the prison for sedition or some other treasonous act. The story goes that his "bullet riddled" clothes were found where the wolves had torn apart his body. No definate year, but I know he did make it through the Revolutionary War and maybe into the mid 1780s. I believe there was at least one other Davis girl.
