Looking for living cousins. John Carr son of Henry Carr John Carr was born in about 1765 in VA, near the present day Petersburg, WV. He served in the Revolutionary War with the John Harness Rangers. He was married to Abigail __________. No maiden name has surfaced for her. It was thought she was a Veach, but that has apparently been discounted. Records for him can be found in Hampshire, Hardy and Randolph counties. He died in Randolph county, VA in 1842. Their children: 48. Catherine Carr common law wife of Isaac BOOTH 49. Jemima Carr m. William BONNER 50. Hannah Susan Carr m. Charles SMITH 51. Abner Carr m. Elizabeth WHITE 52. Malinda Carr m. Edmond JONES 53. James/Jacob Carr m. Ann HORNBECK (WV family denies him) 54. John Carr m. Jemima WOLFORD and Abigail BRIGHT 55. Solomon S Carr m. Susannah LAMBERT 56. Eli Carr m. Martha "Patty" White and ________ Flanagan 57. Enoch Carr never married 58. Edmond Carr m. Elizabeth WOLFORD James Carr may be from the Beverly Plantation and through another "British" Carr/Kerr family. I have very little on them (the British line) and nothing further on James and Ann. As it says, the WV branch of the family denies his existance in this family. A Hornbeck contact a few years ago could give me her background, but knew nothing of him. This line is where I have the most contacts and can put you in touch with others of this line. Descendants are in most of the NE counties in WV, MD, DE and ID.
