Va. 1840 Census I find a William WALDRON listed. >From Sims index-Wm. WALDRON had a land grant -1837-S. Branch, Pendleton. >From FTM marriage CD. John Wm. WALDRON married Nancy SMITH, Dec. 7, 1837 in Pendleton Co., Va. 1850 and 1860 Census I find Nancy WALDRON listed with children in Pendleton Co., Va. John Wm. must be dead. Pendleton Co., WV marriage records Apr. 18, 1866 Nancy WALDRON marries George CUSTARD. Nancy's parents are listed as Jno & M. MC GUIAN. 1870 Randolph Co. dry Fork Twp. I find George CUSTARD, Nancy, and Sampson (her son) mar 23 1871 Randolph Co. WV marriage records Sampson WALDRON marries Eliza Jane SUMMERFIELD. Sarah Alice WALDRON born Apr 10 1872 Randolph Co. birth records to Sampson and Eliza WALDRON Eliza Jane WALDRON dies Oct. 24, 1875 Randolph Co. death records 1880 Randolph Co. WV. Dry Fork Twp. Census George CUSTARD Nancy wife Sarah Alice WALDRON Granddaughter 7 yrs, Hoy Grant WALDRON Grandson 6 yrs. Jan 25, 1893 Tucker Co. Dry Fork WV. marriage records Sarah Alice WALDRON to Richard B. PINCHES. Parents listed for Wife (Sarah Alice) are Sampson and Jane. Now the questions: Is anyone else working on this family? Does anyone know what Nancy's maiden name really is? SMITH or MC GUAIN ?? Can anyone tell me if the cemeteries in Pendleton and/or Randolph Counties have been read and if so where I might be able to access this information. Can any one make some suggestion as to where to look next? because of living in Michigan I rely on the family history center and usually one quick trip a year to WV so like to plan ahead on what direction my research is headed next.
